Adest FreeText module enables detailed text searches to find the occurrence of words, phrases or combinations of words, within the content of documents stored in the Adest Document Management system.

FreeText provides comprehensive search features in advanced search, including:

  • Boolean - operators like and/or/not can join words and phrases
  • Proximity - searching finds a word or phrase within "x" words of another word or phrase
  • Wildcard text search - support allows users to hold a single letter place, and to hold multiple letter places Synonym/ concept/ thesaurus searching allows users you look for fast and find quick, speedy, etc.
  • Stemming finds variations on endings, like applies, applied, applying in a search for apply
  • Fuzzy searching uses a proprietary algorithm to find search terms even if they are misspelled
  • Natural language support

The user's search request can be a word list, phrases, sentences or extended text. Hit count of documents containing search request and count of the number of hits within each document.
